I just started working with the D60, let me tell you that I am really impressed with this unit. Yes the auto focus would be great if they brought it up to the standard of the EOS 3 or the 1V, but it will get there. Right now I'm shooting some studio fashion with it an my model is having a hard time keeping up with the speed of the camera. As to image size I understand that it really has a lot to do with the subject matter your shooting. In high quality JPG low compression you have a file that will open to 18 megs and in RAW your working with a 36 meg file. Both of those are really big files. In 18 megs a group should go to 16x20 with no problem and even larger. A close up will go much larger, my finisher tells me they have taken full face shots all the way to 40x60 from this camera. I think the main point is that you have no grain with the files like you do with film and the color is really pure. Right now I'm still in the learning stage (will be for a long time I think) but I can truly say that I will be totally digital with-in next 12-18 mnts.Coming from someone in this business for the past 35 yrs, well what can I say-old dogs do learn new tricks.
