Hi All,

While I was carrying my EOS3 with a 300 f4 IS and 2x converter mounted this
morning, I heard the IS working. The camera was also metering.

I half-pressed the shutter release, then released it and everything shut
down.

At first I thought that perhaps I had accidentally pressed the shutter
release, but then it did it again.

Has anyone else experienced this, or something similar?

I know that there is a problem with the 3 and the latest super-tele IS
lenses (which this is not), with regard to battery drain, but I do not
remember there being any physical symptoms apart from a flat battery.

I did a battery check which showed full power. I am using non-rechargeable
Lithium AAs in the PB-E2, and have taken, perhaps, 25 rolls at most.

I shall have to wait and see if it keeps recurring. It is certainly only
intermittent at the moment.

Any comments appreciated.

Cheers

Keith
