Hi, Thanks for all your thoughts and hints. I now decided to go with the 500D, it seems to be the best compromise to me.
An extension tube would mean loss of light and a macro lens is too heavy to add to my equipment when I�m trekking. As I don�t want to do real macro work, I think the 500D will work fine for me. Maybe one day I will add a macro lens to my gear. So, I hope to receive the close-up filter within the next few days. I will report to the list my experience, as soon as I shot the first roll of film with it.
