I have the same two lenses and see no need for the 24-70. Even if
I were shooting digital, the 16-35 would cover the range, (which
is why I bought the 16-35).
I view the 24-70 as a mere update of the 28-70.
I was really disappointed. I can live with out the weather
sealing. I was certainly hoping for a 28-105/2.8. I would have
dropped the 28-70 in a heartbeat for that lens.
