I can't answer for the G3 but the lag on the G2 is significant - at least when compared to my EOS 3 :) In the G2's defence, the lag is no worse than many other digital P&S cameras and generally is not a problem as long as one half-presses the shutter first. The G2 has a 'quick-release' mode that locks the focus and zoom (at max wide angle) and this dramatically reduces lag - however I find this of limited usefulness since the zoom is locked :( Despite the lag I find I'm using the G2 much more than the 3 to take pictures of my daughter - though this may be mainly because the rather loud CLONK! of the 3's shutter seems to wake her up :) Stuart * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
