This gives me an idea..... is it at all possible or worthwhile to add a
feature to digital cameras to include a digital ND *grad* filter effect
right into the camera body, to be positioned with control dials/joysticks
while watching on LCD on back?  If CMOS/CCD sensors have much greater
density range reproduction/exposure latitude than do slide/neg film, would
it make sense to provide such a feature?  Or would it be no different than
applying a partially  opaque mask via image editing tools when processing
RAW files?
