Good idea, although I would still prefer the f/2.8 version despite of it's weight and price tag. I'll be using it as main portraiture lens (as I did with Minolta), so wide aperture is mandatory. Besides of that, it would be pity not to allow the EOS-3 to reveal all it is capable of once f/2.8 is attached...
