I think is 70-200 f4 is an excellent lens for my needs.... excellent optics
and construction, compact and reasonably light (very important for travel)
and affordable. I wish Canon made a few other lenses that fit these criteria
so a well rounded "normal" use kit could be assembled. For example, my 28-70
L is a great lens but I would probably opt for a 28- 80L F4 with 1/3 less
weight and bulk and 1/3 less cost. Most of my photo opportunities are during
travel and I have some back and neck problems... so weight and bulk are major
concerns. However, I like the L quality. My .02
