The usually quoted advantage is that you can review / edit shot as you go. For this sort of photography, the comment is "yea, right!". The photographer needs to be concentrating on the event, not peering in to the LCD screen while the guests walk off ;o) Digital has not changed the number of frames needed to be fired to get the ones you want. Accumulating "900" frames for later review is anything but cheap in microdrives / flashcards - unless you let your quality expectations drop to fit. I suppose with an assistant reviewing the shots in batches while the photographer concentrated on the job of covering the event you could cut down on storage media, but then you have to hire an assistant ...
