I have to thoroughly agree with this assessment. 

I find the D60 images seem to lack a certain "zing" or "vibrancy" that I
am used to seeing with film. It is also still not as sharp as film. I
routinely print 16 x 20 - for me, the D60 is not good enough to print at
this size for exhibition quality. 

OT - my other gripe with the D60 is its' poor AF performance, especially
in low light. I wish Canon would at least put the AF sensor from the EOS
30.
