Hi gang, I have a question about the 380 EX; When the flash is ready a red light comes on. When you push it, the flash flashes. So far so good :-)
Last weekend I did some night shots and tried to flash the subject 'manually' i.e. choosing bulb mode, taking the flash in hand and pushing the red light. (I tried to light an statue). All came out underexposed as if the flash wasn't used. So I assume that the flashpower isn't at his maximum output when pushing the red light. Anybody any idea to overcome this problem (apart of buying an 420/550EX :-) ) or did I make a mistake? BTW In normal mode (flash on the 50E) everything works fine.
