Hi Gerard, You got two out of three right :-) Flash intensity varies with the square of the distance. You can get one stop changes by following a geometric progression with sqrt(2), just like aperture settings. 1m 1.4m 2m 2.8m 4m 5.6m 8m 11m 16m 22m 32m Or in feet (or thumbs) - 4ft 5.6ft 8ft 11ft 16ft 22ft etc Cheers Julian Loke P.S.
