I was using the flash manually  at 3 meters (maximum) from the statue, the
camera was on tripod (of course) in bulb mode at f8  with  a Provia 100 with
a zoom set at 28mm at 4 metres of the statue and I used the RC . The statue
turned out green (you know the effect I assume) and - very bizar-  the
lights of the passing cars are visible. So the only logical explanation to
me was that the flash isn't giving is maximum output when pushing the red
light but ...

If you're shure about that, I propose we *stop* this thread , I'll do some
testing (with for instance a 400 ISO film) and come back  with the results.

I'm a bit embarrased to say but I did it just ones that week-end. I mean
flashing the statue with the EX380.:-)
