Thanks for the hint about the warranty. Are you sure valid US warranty is honored here in Israel ? If so, perhaps indeed I should consider looking for US version instead (as one offered by BAH), but then I still have to figure out how to translate my Paypal cash in credit card purchase or some way to pay directly my Paypal.
Henry, any ideas ? BTW, NY tax is only liable to NY resident or a buyer making the purchase personally in NY. Otherwise any mailing order outside NY will not pay this. Keep in mind that the person buying the lens for you at B&H pays new-york state tax, which adds 8.75% to the price. Buying from ISrael, you don't pay for this. Shipping is cheaper for a 1000+$ lens. You need the USA version, since the gray market is without a warranty in ISrael. Henry, do you have the option of checking the lens before shipping? re-shipping for a defective item can be costly.. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
