Hi Jim, I assumed someone else would comment on this but I haven't seen it come up. The 1v and 3 have a custom function (#3) which disables the automatic ISO reading and allows you to set a speed for the type of film and leave it set. This is what I do shooting jobs with Provia 100 when I set a film speed of 64 and leave it set for the entire job. You are right that it would be a total pain otherwise trying to remember to set it each time a new film is loaded.
