It would allow a camera's meter to be set to where the user wants it,
or if it's slightly off, then corrected. You know I hear so many
people say they always shoot Velvia rated lower, etc. This way they
could set the metering rather than the ISO, which is reset I believe
with each new film inserted.

EC is something you would still do when needed.

Just a thought, I dunno if it would be useful or practical.
