Well, I guess my point was that buying a complete new line of lenses
would not be necessary.

Did you say smaller, lighter AND cheaper?

I see the smaller sensor size as a temporary stop gap until full frame
cameras can fill the market. Give it a couple years. The first one is
here already, naturally it's expensive.

Meanwhile, why not buy a wide angle that will fill the gap using a
smaller sensor, keep using film, or pony up for a 1Ds.

I was thinking to get a 10D, but for wide angle would simply use my
film EOS. Come to think of it, I could carry around my EOS 1000 body
pretty easily and it would do the job for most of my wide angle stuff
just as well as my 55.
