Hi Chip,

I bought a used 35 f2 some years ago for my EOS3 and knowing it was a "prime",
was a bit disappointed with its apparent sharpness on film. (That is, at
f5.6-f8 it didn't shout sharp, sharp etc. compared to other lenses including
zooms.)
It's now more or less my standard lens, and sharp A3s are no problem from this
lens. The zoom (28-135) which seemed similar on film (100F) is no match on
digital - all is revealed. I'm guessing that my scanner needed lots more
resolution than the 2400lpi to sort out the differences.
(Lack of USM on the 35 f2 is no problem.)
