Chasseur d'Images, the famous French magazine, in an article about lenses (I can't remember which issue) spoke about the problem of parallel lighting of sensors and they said this is more a commercial problem than a real problem: they tested a 1DS and 1V with the 16-35 L(?) lens: results where acerage for both the systems and could not see real differences.
