Hi,

So far, I haven't seen any suppliers listing narrower lens hoods, but in my own
case, using a 10D, I'm using a 52mm screw-in lens hood originally sold for use
with "standard" lenses on both my EF 35 f2 and EF 28 f2.8.  It doesn't vignette,
but whether it helps, I'm not sure as I haven't done any specific "with /
without" tests in sidelighting.
On the same camera, the supplied petal lens hood on my Sigma 17-35 appears to
give essentially no protection to stray light, and I've frequently noticed a
slight drop in overall contrast, which I sometimes fix in Photoshop using USM
values opf 30, 60, 0.
