I'm not quite sure, however, that for the number of pictures I take, say
a
roll a week plus the occasional trips and/or special occasions, I can
justify the cost of the upgrade, especially since I still haven't
learned a
fraction of the feautre set of the ELAN IIe.  On the other hand, not
having
to change film rolls, and being able to instantly see what various
features
do might help me learn.

So, is $1200-1500 worth an upgrade from film to digital?

Well, that is a hard decision when you cannot financially justify it.
Especially when you realize that in 2 years the digital body you are
using will be obsolete, so to speak.  There is also rumor of a new EOS
Digital for early next year that will be at the price point of the 10D
but withj substantially better features. But this is still a rumor.
