With an EOS-3 and never had the inclination or justification for the PB-E2 etc., I have been happily using the 2CR5 as the power source for EOS-3 for over 3 years now, and I just use a partially used 2CR5 from the camera in the ST-E2, works like wonder and for a long time too after the battery has served in the camera.
