Hello, i just bought a 550ex flash, and while shooting i left my 50e aside switched on with the 550ex switched on as well (NOT in the SE position). After i think a couple of hours, the batteries of the flash were completely flat. I couldnt even get the flash LCD. Is that becasue it wasn't left in the SE position ? If that is the case why would one not use the SE ? Why were the batteries exhausted so quickly? Is the flash consuming power when not in use ? Is that why it's making a noise as well ?
