I've a 1GB MD and several CF cards from 10x to 45x. They all write at about the same speed in my 10D (9 x ISO100 RAWs about 40 secs). I expected the 4GB MD to be similar and your test seems to confirm this. I was concerned because I really wouldn't want anything slower and Rob Galbraith's CF database showed very slow write speeds for the 4GB MD.
