Hi Craig, I did not test nor take notes on the 10D write speed last night when I tested 4 GB card. I notice that the camera takes longer to format the card, but I presumed it was because the card formatted in FAT32 and might need to format (header area) a lot more comparing with 1 GB card. In fact, my 10D still shows 999 (its maximum frame number) in JPG fine mode after I've taken 20 or 30 shots with 4 GB card. I will do the write speed test tonight, comparing it with Pretec 512 CF card (that has the same write speed with IBM 1 GB Microdrive) and let you know the result afterwards.
