Very simple: If you are buying online from a vendor in US, the vendor will show you how much tax you owe before checking out. This will be levied by the website depending on your shipping address, automatically. So, if I were you, I would go all the way to check out but one step before actually paying for the merchandise. At that point the shopping cart total will include shipping and sales tax info, if any is applicable at source.
