I'm wondering if any of you use your 550EX with an umbrella? I am starting
to play around with umbrella lighting by way of my 550 and a ST-E2
transmitter. I was wondering if the setting of the flash head zoom would
make much of a difference seeing how the light is bouncing out of the
umbrella. I have two sizes of umbrellas, a 34" and a 45". The 550 sets
itself to 24mm when switched to "Slave" but I'm thinking maybe there is a
difference in intensity if the head was zoomed in, with a more narrow beam
at 105mm.
