I know many have said this lens is soft. What I am wondering is are you basing this on digital use of the lens as with EOS digital bodies? I may have the exception in 28-135mm IS lenses, but I use film. I have done a lot of work with the lens and my images are sharp at F5.6 when enlarged to 8x10 or 11x14.
