First of all, sharpness is very
subjective. What is considered
sharp by one photographer, may
not be acceptable by another.

I never judge sharpness by looking
at a print (or projected slide),
but use a high-quality loupe and
examine the slide on a light table.

On a sidenote, I'd be interested
to hear your opinion on Provia 400F
enlarged to 8x10, as I found it
unacceptably soft, being used to
Provia 100F and Velvia type grain.
