Need is why I currently run three different camera systems:)  

Can get horridly expensive though.

A very nice camera and lens, undoubtably.  And if one
lens was all I needed maybe I'd make the switch.  But
Canon offers many other lenses and bodies that I like,
and use, and in which I already have a sizeable investment.
