==> I would have agreed with this a few years ago, but
Canon's evaluative metering has gotten so good that I
almost never use spot anymore. Even on my 1v. With
the ease (and low cost) of doing exposure bracketing
on digital, spot metering is a feature I can easily do
without.

bad it is.

==> Actually, I find the built in flash to be
extremely handy in situations where I get caught in
different conditions than I expected. I don't use it
often, but it's saved my but a couple of times.

==> Given the battery life of my 10d, I'll take the
small size and weight of the BP511 in trade for the
capcity of the 1d Mk II battery pack.

==> I could deal with larger, but not heavier, for my
use. We'll have to wait until we can all get a
hands-on, but the 10d fits me fine, and the 20d
doesn't look that much smaller.

==> I think I'm going to prefer 9 sensors to 35. ECF
on the 3 never worked for me, and selecting focus
points manually looks like it will be much easier on
the 20d. And I think the layout of the 9 points on the
20d is superior to 11 on the 3.

Worthless on a 8MP camera. Wireless is still too slow
to transmit those images in any quantity. I think
this is a real need only for a working PJ who needs to
upload shots immediately. And wi-fi won't support
that anyway.

Have you ever compared Firewire against USB 2.0? I
have, and the real speed isn't much different in my
tests.
> 9. a reduced crop factor.
Yeah, larger is probably better, if for no other
reason than wide angle used. But I think the image
quality of the 20d is going to be plenty good enough.
The 10d is capable of stunning quality. The 20d should
be at least as good.
