No, but RAW makes it a lot easier to prove that an image is yours. You
will never give your customer the RAW file, but a JPG or TIFF. If you
shoot JPG and give a copy to the customer, who's to say which one was
the original?

You can do digital watermarking of course, but if you do that you could
just as well have spent the same amount of time on converting a RAW
file.
