On the DPReview forum, there are a lot of mentions of this, and the circumstances range from changing lenses with the power on, changing CF cards, power on or off, or, in my case, twice, just happily shooting away... One guy ha his lock up and the battery removal trick didn't work. Only when he removed the 3v battery, did it unlock.
