After returning home, and rereading some pre-Kina documentation, the
most baffling observation/conclusion only dawned on me after the
fact:
On the Kina, Canon offered just one lousy dual-sided A4 sheet for the
1Ds-MkII.
All this while the URL of a multi-page PDF-document of the 1Ds-MkII
was posted here long before, containing tons more info.
(and which they could at least have handed out as black&white copies
(but how come Canon promotes and gloats over deminishing times-to-
print, when they can't pull off an important brochure like that in
due time?....shouldn't they themselves lead the pack they claim to
lead?)
Oh, and watch out for Chinese EOS clone battery-packs, wireless flash-
releases, cable-releases and even timer-releases (auxiliary or build
into the same battery-pack!) with more functionality than Canon
offers....:))
Nothing more lovely than the heat from aftermarket competition (even
better than brand/brand competition, because Nikon's timer-releases
never forced Canon to build something similar).
Now only to convince the Chinese to make a multi-bracket bulb-timer,
like I build many years ago myself (to sleep during night-time
bracket exposures)).
