But the EF-S 60mm f2.8 isn't wider than 50mm :-(
I wasn't implying that the 60 is wider than the 50, it's wider than the 100!
50mm x 1.6 = 80mm and
60mm x 1.6 = 96mmApparently the need for a 100mm equivalent is very important to this market and 80mm doesn't cut it.
Was there any word on price, maybe it's cheaper. Since this is an EF-S lens, it is possible that it is specially corrected for the needs of the APS-C sensor size.
