Agreed - a 100mm (equivalent) Macro was missing in the
APS-C sized sensor market.

Doubtful - it has USM, FTM, lifesize ratio, a 7 blade
barrel aperture (whatever that is), the photo has a
metal mount which would mean it is really a premium
(although non-L and non IS) segment.
