I've downloaded a few of the images from Canon, and of course they looked beautiful. I think shooting in the studio, or on a tripod with good light the two cameras will produce similar quality images. I think the HUGE difference will be in the higher ISO's with the DIGICII processing. My experiences with the 1Ds were great in the studio, but as a wedding photographer I really didn't use the camera much in the dark churches and receptions. The noise would get pretty wild above 400ISO, especially if it is underexposed any. (The ETTL2 is a big plus over the 1Ds as well)
