Hello list, I hope this isn't a bit out of topic since most of you are probably professionals and I'm a simple amateur photographer with an EOS 300D, anyhow please let me know if I'm OOT, thank you! :)
Currently I own 2 lens: the Canon EF 18-55mm which came with EOS 300D (which I don't like it very much, it seems to fragile, specially the focusing ring) and a Sigma 55-200mm DC that I think has an excellent price/quality relation (I bought it new, almost an year ago, for 170euros. I guess it was a good bargain). I'm thinking in buying a "all in one" lens, something like 28-135mm so I hadn't to be all the time switching between lens! Although I didn't want to spend much money (Ok I know they don't come cheap but I've seen a really big price range), I know canon has one, but it's with USM so probably it's very expensive for someone that only does photography has an hobbie. My question is, should I really go for the canon one? Or should I try to go for the Sigma 28-135mm (they also have one, and my 55-200mm didn't let me down), or any other brand? (I'm don't know many others...I've seen Tokina lens but don't know if they are good or not) Also, do you think it's a bad choice I'm doing? Should I stick with the 2 lens I have? All comments are appreciated. Thank you for your time, and sorry if my english isn't the best!
