Good Morning, If I may put in me two cents! The question about the 28-135-this is a good lens. I have one in the bag and we use it-let's face it when you need a zoom you need a zoom. Any way I've made enlargements up to 20" x 24" (aperture was about f/9 with the 1Ds on a tripod) and they were wonderful. Image had a little soft feel to it but not an out of focus look. ISO setting was 100. The only trouble with every example of this lens I've seen is they love to collect dust under the front element. So it would seem the seals are not up to that of the "L" glass. But it's optical performance is very good.
Cheers Wilber
