What tree? :-)
Anyway, sleeping in a plastic bag when night temperature
drops below freezing doesn't really appeal to me.

Well, I *can* manage to carry the 100-400L along with a couple
of smaller lenses, and tent &c, for a week, and I intend to
do just that again soon, but I'm getting lazier as I get older...
A lighter tent might be a good idea though.
