I believe it is every time you *save* a jpg there is
some loss, though someone more technically inclined may
elaborate on that.

My slightly greater worry would be if I could still open
the proprietary RAW format of whichever camera I took the
raw photo with...but I don't worry *too* much about such
things (though I'm currently mucking around with RAW
instead of my usual jpg). I'm relying on the fastidiously
busy minds of future specialist retrotech curmedgeons
to solve my archaic-technology problems for me ;-)
