I was just about to say that too ...  :o)

The biggest "losses" occur if you crop from left or top edges between
saves (unless you happen to remove a multiple of 8/16 rows/columns).



One question arisies though:

Why the need for a poll?

Will the result make anyone change their practice (thinks, lemmings
run with the herd).
Surely it's up to the individual.  I've seen enough jpeg artifacts in
pictures that others are using as examples of how you can't see any to
know  it's the eye of the beholder effect.

JPEGs are certainly "good enough for government work" :o)
