Mike, My wife shoots both. She prefers XT at weddings for just one reason: when you get the Err99 you just flip the switch, no juggling with batteries. She uses it with 85L most of the time. It balances well in her hands. I prefer 1D cameras. I also shoot F5 for film. Some folks hate large bodies, I love them. Best, Yuri ------------------------------------------------- I must say that I find your statement re "Err99" amazing! You imply that it's a common event, or at least sufficiently common in your experience to have to learn how to manage it. Could it be a dirty contact problem? I've been shooting Canon digital for 3 years and thousands of images, 10D and now 5D, and the ONLY time I've seen Err99 (3 times in total) was when my 10D was (a) twice when being tried out with older Sigma lenses just after purchase, and (b) once when an aperture mechanism failed leaving the blades dangling in the optical path. So, in my experience choosing a body based on how to recover from an Err99 incident just isn't on my radar, although I'd certainly agree that in a wedding or similar scenario, a quick recovery from disaster is very desirable.
