EOS WB/Expodisc

Looking at the Expodisc, which seems like a good idea.  Any 
opinions?  The manual suggests, in the Custom WB section, that a grey 
card gives a better Custom WB than a white?  Do you find this to be 
true, especially in difficult lighting situations?  If so, that would 
speak against the Expodisc as opposed to using the grey card I would guess.
