Yes, I've since discovered this. My error. Boy there's a lot to
keep track of on this camera. I'm gradually assimilating it
all. 2500 on one charge eh? The battery capacity must expand as you
go along, as my first recharge/battery low came after about 700
shots. That was with the OOB battery and with the LCD on 4"
review. Now I'm recharging much less often, although I haven't
counted. In any case, impressive performance Now with the BG-E2,
even better I epxect.

Can't you change the LCD review time to off? That's what I do when shooting
events where I"m taking 3000 pictures a day (and can take 2500 with one BP
511 battery before getting low batt).
