That's funny (to me), Mark, because, being someone who takes
a lot of candids myself, I've always assumed that they are
*less* likely to require any of the benefits of RAW. For
some reason, I tend to think of RAW as something that gives
most benefits to landscape photographers, or architectural
photographers, or naturephotographers (or ???).

I'm not disagreeing with you, and, for what it's worth, I've
begun shooting RAW on my 10D all the time now as I've found
the Rawshooter part of workflow unobtrusive for me. However,
the enthusiastic amateur in me is concerned at my apparently
false assumption, and, being eager to correct it, wants to
know in what areas you have received dramatic improvement
using RAW for candids (ie. I'm all about getting free
lessons ;-) ).
