Just reading the thread about the 17-40 + flash currently running, got me thinking about fill-in flash, or fill flash as the yanks say.
I have a 1DII and a 580EX and seldom if ever shoot using fill flash. If I shoot 'normal' flash then I shoot manual, 1/250th at f5.6 or f8 and let the flash do the rest, and it works great. I did some ad-hoc group shots (exterior day, cloudy) the other day and took the flash (in case of bright sunshine) but hadn't thought about it at all (I'm like that sometimes ;-) and ended up using just shooting ambient as I hated what the flash was doing in Av. I've since read this page: <http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-flash/index2.html> and realise I should maybe have used Program (which I never use at all)... What methods do listers use for fill flash, and why? Thanks. -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
