Hi

I bought a 20D about 18 months ago after comparing the 20D and RebelXT bodies. The deciding factor at the time was camera body size, I found the Rebel too small to hold comfortably when a large lens was attached.

400D (XTi) wasn't available when I bought 30D, but I would've bought the
30D anyway. For me, the back-wheel is one of the deciding factors as is
the feel in the hands (I "suspect" that the difference is similar to
that of 350D). 5fps as well as 1/8000 are rarely used, for me at least.
I suggest you try them both and then decide. I wouldn't mind
self-cleaning sensor on my 30D, as I wouldn't mind ECF and sensor image
stabilisation... :)

Miha & Bill,

Yes, the lack of the quick control wheel is a bummer. I use it very
extensively on my 1n. The problem is that currently I can't justify to drop
=$1k on a digital body and that is what the 30D/40D(?) costs.
