Hi Last I heard the 1ds 1ds mk2 and I think the 5d full framers use canon sensors. The rebel sensors are farmed out. That's what I heard anyway!
In the old days Kodak made a DCS 520 and 560 built on a in chassis. But I'm not sure if it was a Kodak sensor or Canon. Canon had their own identical versions called the D2000 and D6000. These are still usable cameras the 520 has a good frame rate and the 560 makes big beautiful pics as long as the ASA is 100 and the shutter speed is shorter than 1 second. Otherwise you get noise. Before that Kodak and Canon made other joint bodies DCs 1 3 5 and 5c and maybe a couple more. Again I'm not sure who made the sensor but the body was a 1n At this point Canon seems to have won the sensor wars (squabbles). They seem to have the edge on the high end sensors.
