Bob, this isn't validation, but I met a guy at Carlsbad Caverns two years ago who worked for Kodak... and while he didn't exactly say those words (because I wasn't asking), he led me to believe that Kodak was involved with the sensor conversations... we were more involved in talking about the financial issues Kodak was having with the sorry state of film production. It's the conversation in which I confirmed my suspicion that the 1DS worked better in cold conditions than in hot... his knowledge of the behavioral aspects of the CMOS leads me to think that your statement might be true.
